The official Windows alpha is published from r2intca.com. RuleEngineers v0.1.2-alpha is the current public build. Expect features, behavior, UI details, and file handling to continue changing during alpha.
System Requirements
- Windows 10 or newer
- 64-bit processor recommended
- 100 MB free disk space
- Standard user account or administrator access for installation

What the alpha installer ships
Installer behavior
- The installer is a Windows IExpress self-extracting package.
- It shows the EULA before installation.
- It installs to
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\RuleEngineers. - It creates a Start Menu shortcut for
RuleEngineers.

Uninstall note
This alpha does not yet include a formal uninstaller or an Add/Remove Programs entry.
To remove it, delete %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\RuleEngineers.

Use the installed quickstart and the website guide together
Key workflow
The quickstart covers pattern painting, stepping the Pattern Viewer preview, rule editor tabs, and saving .rerule sessions.
Selection shortcut
Shift+LMB drag selects a rectangular region in the Pattern Viewer.
Copy shortcut
Ctrl+Shift+N copies the selected Pattern Viewer region into a new sequence-editor pattern tab.
Update checker
Static update feed for the desktop app
The website now reports the current public alpha build to the desktop app.
